طرفداری - ویتنی الیزابت هیوستون (به انگلیسی: Whitney Elizabeth Houston) (زادهٔ ۹ اوت ۱۹۶۳ در نیوآرک، نیوجرسی- درگذشتهٔ ۱۱ فوریه ۲۰۱۲) خواننده سبک پاپ، هنرپیشه، تهیهکننده فیلم و مدل آمریکایی بود. کتاب رکوردهای جهانی گینس در سال ۲۰۰۹ رکورد «جایزهدارترین هنرمند زن تاریخ» را به نام ویتنی هیوستون ثبت کرد. او طی بیش از سه دهه فعالیت هنریاش ۴۱۵ جایزه دریافت کرد. ویتنی هیوستن در نیوآرک، نیوجرسی متولد شد و سالهای اولیه زندگی را در نیوجرسی گذراند نخستین فعالیتهایش در عرصه موسیقی را در کودکی و با همکاری با گروه کر کلیسا آغاز کرد و همانجا خوانندگی را فراگرفت. سپس فعالیت هنری خود را با خوانندگی در کلوپهای شبانه نیویورک ادامه داد و قبل از امضای نخستین قرارداد موسیقیاش با شرکت آریستا، مدتی نیز به عنوان مدل کار کرد. هیوستون فعالیت هنری خود را از خوانندگی در سبکهای کلیسایی و سول آغاز کرد. مادر او، سیسی هوستون، خواننده موسیقی کلیسایی بود و دی دی وارویک و دیان وارویک، خواننده، هنرپیشه و مجری مشهور تلویزیون آمریکا، دختر عمه او بود. خود ویتنی نیز دخترخوانده آرتا فرانکلین، از مشاهیر بزرگ آواز و موسیقی معاصر آمریکا بود.
