Fabrizio Romano: Manchester United could make three signings in the next two weeks
The Jadon Sancho transfer saga is going on for so long. United’s refusal to meet Borussia Dortmund’s €120m asking price has stalled the deal. United identified Sancho’s alternatives in Ivan Perisic and Douglas Costa but there are no concrete talks about it.
In the left-back department, Luke Shaw’s injury record makes him unreliable and Bradon Williams is too inexperienced to take a starting role. United lost battles to sign Ben Chilwell and Sergio Reguilon. To add an insult, both of these players joined rival clubs – Chelsea and Spurs respectively.
Currently, they are in talks to sign Alex Telles from Porto. A surprise introduction into the picture is Rayan Ait Nouri. Ait Nouri’s agent Jorge Mendes is pushing for a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
A center-back is a necessity too. Romano hints that United could sign someone in that area. However, all center-back linked to United are unavailable. Gabriel Magalhaes snubbed United for Arsenal. Kalidou Koulibaly and Dayot Upamecano are other options.
However, Koulibaly is very close to signing a deal with United’s rivals Manchester City. And. Upamecano said that he’d stay at Leipzig and has signed a contract extension recently.

Man United have to sign a quality attacker before the closure of the summer transfer window or Solskjaer may suffer more. If Sancho is too expensive then an alternative must be lured and in my view, the Red Devils should move to bring back Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivorian international tormented our back-line and scored two goals to help Palace earn all three points at Old Trafford.
He was never given a fair chance at Man Utd and only played 4 senior games for the club. Since leaving us, he has consistently done well for the London based side. He was even the man of the match in the opening PL contest vs Southampton.
The versatile star can effectively play on either flank and even as an out and out center forward if needed. He is fast, a quality dribbler and can strike the ball with both feet.
Zaha is linked with a move away from Selhurst Park and Roy Hodgson is desperate to keep him. The English manager even opted to hand him the captain’s armband vs Man United and the winger led his team brilliantly.
As per reports (The Evening Standard), Palace will demand at least £50million from the sale of the 27-year-old attacker and I think that Man United have to splash the cash to secure his signing this summer.
Have your say – Would you welcome Wilfried Zaha back?
