Bayern Munich are interested in signing Andreas Christensen this summer when his Chelsea contract expires, according to reports that Sky Germany are starting to push.
Football.London have a translation of some of the quotes, which explain that Christensen and his current club are still some way apart in terms of their negotiations for a new deal. Apparently the Denmark international earns €5m a year, and wants €10m a year. Chelsea have offered €7.5m, but won’t go higher.
Given how long it’s been with no progress, we assume he’s going to leave with nothing agreed.
Bayern aren’t the kind of team to overpay for a player, and they won’t just give Christensen what he wants – so perhaps Chelsea are playing the long game and hoping they can trump the Bavarians in the end.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have bene linked with Bayern’s defender Niklas Sule, as a kind of revenge transfer
