قطعه Fix You از کلدپلی به عنوان یکی از سه سینگل آلبوم X&Y در سال ۲۰۰۵ عرضه شد و یکی از موفق ترین کارهای این گروه محبوب انگلیسی به شمار میره. کلدپلی موقع نوشتن این آلبوم، با چالش های مختلفی روبرو بودند. مدیر گروه و دوست دوره دبیرستان کریس، فیل هاروی، به خاطر اختلافاتی که با کریس داشت گروه رو ترک کرده بود و البته مرگ پدر گویینث پلترو، همسر کریس، باعث شد فضای کلی آلبوم الهام گرفته از این وقایع تلخ باشه. مشخصا ترک Fix You برای تسلای گویینث نوشته شد.
