لئونارد کوهن، صدای ماندگار تاریخ موسیقی

لئونارد کوهن از متمایزترین صداهای تاریخ موسیقی در آخرین روز تابستان یعنی 21 سپتامبر 1934 در خانواده ای روشنفکر و یهودی در شهر وستمونت ایالت کبک کانادا بدنیا اومد.

جالب است!کوهن قبل از ورود به حرفه ی خوانندگی ، یک شاعر و نویسنده بود و اولین کتاب شعرش را در سال 1956 منتشر کرد و تنها در سال 1967 در سن 33 سالگیش بود که شروع به فعالیت در صنعت موسیقی کرد

و در همان سال اولین آلبومش را در 27 دسامبر با نام (Songs of Leonard Cohen)(ترانه های لئونارد کوهن ) منتشر کرد.

کوهن به خاطر صدای خاص و زیبایی اشعار ترانه هایش خیلی زود به شهرت جهانی رسید

اشعار ترانه های کوهن ، اشعاری استادانه و غم‌انگیز در مورد جنسیت، عشق، معنویت و ناامیدی را شامل میشد و بیشتر به جای اینکه آینده ی ایده آل را ترسیم کند سعی در ورود به احساسات و مشکلات هر انسان عادی و معمولی بود

برخلاف تفکرات حاکم در اونموقع ، کوهن از همون موقع توسط والدینش تشویق میشد تا علاقه‌های خود را در شعر و موسیقی دنبال کند و همچنین کاملاً در الهیات یهودی و داستان‌های عهد عتیق غرق شود برای همین از بسیاری جهات، این علاقه‌ها و تأثیرات اولیه، طرح‌های اولیه بسیاری از آثار بعدی او را فراهم کرد و از 13 سالگی شروع به نواختن گیتار کرد

کوهن در دوران حرفه ی خوانندگیش توانست جوایز و افتخارات زیادی را کسب کند از جمله عوضیت مشاهیر راک اند رول !

سرانجام 7 نوامبر سال 2016 در سن 82 سالگی از دنیا رفت
