متالیکا (به انگلیسی: Metallica) یک گروه موسیقی هوی متال آمریکایی است که در سال ۱۹۸۱ در شهر لس آنجلس فعّالیّت خود را آغاز کرد و سپس در سال ۱۹۸۱ اوّلین آلبومش با نام همهشان را بکش منتشر شد. متالیکا تاکنون ۱۰ آلبوم استودیویی، ۳ آلبوم زنده، ۵ کار اضافه (Extended Play)، ۲۴ نماهنگ و ۴۵ تکآهنگ منتشر کردهاست. این گروه ۹ بار برندهٔ جایزه گرمی شدهاست و ۶ تا از آلبومهایش بهطور پیدرپی در «رنکینگ بیلبورد ۲۰۰» از شماره یک کار خود را شروع کردهاست که این یک رکورد محسوب میشود. در سال ۲۰۱۸ متالیکا برنده جایزه معتبر پولار در سوئد شد متالیکا نخستین گروه هوی متالی است که برنده جایزه پولار میشود. آلبوم سال ۱۹۹۱ آنها، متالیکا، بیش از ۱۵ میلیون نسخه در ایالات متحده و ۵۱ میلیون در سرار جهان فروش داشته که آن را ۲۵امین آلبوم پرفروش آمریکا ساختهاست. گروه با انتشار آلبوم آهنربای مرگ به فروش کلّی ۱۰۰ میلیون نسخه در جهان رسید. متالیکا یکی از بهترین گروههای ترش متال است به گونهای که عضوی از باشگاه «چهار بزرگ» ترش متال به حساب آمده و طرفداران بسیاری در سراسر جهان دارد.
