امپریوم (Empyrium) یک گروه آلمانی است که در سال 1994 تشکیل شد. آنها در ابتدا با سبک دارک/اتمسفریک دوم متال (Dark/Atmospheric Doom Metal) و بلک متال (Black Metal) شناخته شدند، اما به تدریج به سمت موسیقی فولک آکوستیک، نئوفولک و نئوکلاسیکال متمایل شدند. موسیقی آنها عمیقاً تحت تأثیر طبیعت، مالیخولیا و زیباییهای خاموش جنگلها و مناظر طبیعی آلمان است. ملودیهای آرام، استفاده از سازهای آکوستیک، پیانو و عناصر ارکسترال، فضایی رؤیایی و غمانگیز خلق میکنند. امپریوم به خاطر خلق فضاهای صوتی منحصربهفرد و اشعار شاعرانه خود شهرت دارد.
